On New Year’s Day, it feels appropriate to look back and take some stock of the year that has just passed, and look forward to the year ahead. No major deep thoughts here, just a checklist and a draft ‘to-do’ list.<\/p>\n
Looking Back at 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n – lost 25 pounds<\/p>\n – ran a Half-Marathon<\/a>, Marathon<\/a>, and a 5k<\/a><\/p>\n – got a new dog<\/a><\/p>\n – worked very hard locally<\/a> to help elect our new President<\/p>\n – first time visits to Austin, TX<\/a> and Denver, CO<\/a> (loved them both)<\/p>\n Looking Forward to 2009<\/strong><\/p>\n – organize and enjoy a local inaugural ball<\/a><\/p>\n – run a Half-Marathon<\/a> and a Triathalon<\/a><\/p>\n – paint the kitchen<\/p>\n – take a trip home to Huntington Beach, CA this summer<\/p>\n – send my oldest child off to college<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" On New Year’s Day, it feels appropriate to look back and take some stock of the year that has just passed, and look forward to the year ahead.
